Deedra Hughes, founder of Hughes Media, Inc., has nearly 20 years experience in advertising media planning and marketing strategy. Before founding Hughes Media in 2000, she was widely recognized as the top broadcast account executive for Clear Channel Communications and Cox Broadcasting. Her expertise in creating effective advertising buys is unique. She was trusted not only to develop the radio schedules for blue chip clients such as Georgia Power, Home Depot and Sun Trust; but also for her innovative ideas in branding those companies.
Hughes brings something extra to the client relationship: creative media planning designed to enhance brand image as well as sales. She calls this Value Plus: good value, plus a little extra. Her brand of media planning works, which is why more and more clients trust Hughes Media. Those many satisfied clients are a testament to her high standards. Hughes Media’s clients enjoy working one-on-one with a business owner who goes that extra mile. Deedra treats all her clients’ businesses as if they were her own.
She creates effective local, regional and national advertising buys for retailers, construction, home improvement and health care organizations. She brings her scientific business acumen to research media outlets, analyzes Arbitron/Nielsen ratings, and evaluates the best Cost-Per-Point (CPP), in order to make the most effective media decisions. Her expertise in the evidence-based, data-driven side of the ad world, coupled with her outside-of-the-box creative thinking and artistic talents, add up to something clients understand: their bottom line.

A communications marketing graduate of Ohio University, Deedra’s first position as a district manager for a major hair care company enabled her to invest in her own business at 25. After selling that company, she realized that her true passion was marketing a company.

Rob Hughes
Co-founder, General Manager
Rob is involved in all aspects of Hughes Media business from operations, finance and marketing to media relations. Rob brings 24 years of experience in the application software arena where he worked for Oracle, IBM and i2 technologies. He brings a high level of knowledge to clients interested in improving search engine optimization.
Stephanie Braatz
Graphic Designer
With over 12 years experience within the creative department of advertising agencies, Stephanie is proficient on both Mac and PC with Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and other graphic design software. She makes all print ads and marketing materials look great and strictly adheres to all deadlines. Stephanie holds a bachelors degree from Auburn University.
Lora keeps all the invoices checked and the payments flowing to radio and TV stations and print outlets. Lora is proprietor of Bookkeeping Solutions. She has a degree in accounting and 25 years experience in almost all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping procedures. She was hired by Hughes Media, Inc. at its inception and has acquired a firm knowledge of its vendors and customers.
Diana has been designing and programming websites for 8 years, with experiences in HTML, CSS, building website from concept to finish, including content management systems and e-commerce. She is proficient in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and other design software. She is also skilled in 3D animation, special effects, and compositing.
